October TBR: Sawkill Girls Review

I read another book on my October TBR!!! I’m so happy I wasn’t sure if I’d get to another novel this month.

Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

Format: Hardcover
Rating: 5/5 Stars

I absolutely loved this novel! The plot was so unique and it was a great fix for my lack of new horror movies to watch. Of all the characters, I adored Zoey the most, she’s hilarious, snarky and full of heart (even though hers is broken). The characters were so complex, realistic, and queer! The rep was amazing and to see 3 queer female characters as the main ones for a novel was just so refreshing. I also loved the writing style, the descriptions/imagery was so on point I felt like I was there and feeling everything the characters were feeling.

This is a great feminist read and I highly recommend it! I high key hope there’ll be a sequel, I’d love to read more about this world and these characters.
